About OCCA

2013 Marks the 31st Year of “The Great Labor Day Cruise”, presented by OCCA, Inc. The event is located at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California on Friday, August 30, 2013 thru Sunday, September 1, 2013. The event continues to be one of the largest and longest running 3 day events in the nation and one of a few that can offer non-stop cruising around a 1.25 mile cruise route set up at the 150 acre venue.

OCCA is a Not-For-Profit, Volunteer based 501 (C)(3) Organization. All of the individuals that organize the event throughout the year, including event logistics during the 3 day show are doing this voluntarily in addition to their “day jobs” and receive no compensation. Proceeds from the Great Labor Day Cruise are donated to charities that in the past have included:

Drug Use is Life Abuse, Kristie’s Foundation, Wounded Warriors Foundation and many others.

The Great Labor Day Cruise attracts well over 1400 pre 1978 vintage autos, classics and street rods but it is not just a car show, it’s a true family event. Highlights include a fun zone just for kids, a model car contest, wild wagons display, silent auction and over 100 vendors for both automobile related and personal related items.

Camping is another plus at the event. We offer 196 camping spaces in 2 different areas of the venue, most with complete hook ups for your RV or travel trailer and with spaces up to 60’ long we can accommodate even the largest RV’s on the market. We offer an all-inclusive 4 night package with camping and car registration combined. Not many shows can offer what we do and what we have for over 30 years.

2013 marks the return of our Famous Give Away Car. Something the event started 20 plus years ago and many other shows have followed suit.

This year will are building a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle "Big Block 454", dubbed the Wounded Warrior Project Car. 90% of the parts and labor on the project are donated by the various local Southern California suppliers, using their talent and expertise to make the project possible.

We will be holding an opportunity drawing for the Wounded Warrior Project Car and one lucky winner will take a true 1960’s Muscle Car home. All proceeds from the Wounded Warrior Project Car will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
